Florida FarmFinder is a program of the Conservation Trust for Florida (CTF). This program is conducted in coordination with the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences and the Department of Agronomy through grant support provided by the USDA Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development program.
CTF is a non-profit land trust that helps rural landowners protect their farms and ranches for future generations and maintain the rural character of their land. We focus on conserving working rural landscapes and wildlife corridors to protect biodiversity.
Florida has a rich agricultural tradition, but this tradition could be in danger—the majority of farmers are now over 55 years old. Within the next two decades, close to one-half of Florida’s agricultural lands will change hands. The FarmFinder was created to match farmers and farmland owners with beginning farmers seeking land or guidance.
